Legal notice

Thammajaree (thammajaree.com) is an independent editorial publication: a static website of dated notes on Theravada practice, kept by a single desk and published in English for lay readers. Enquiries of any legal character go to the address on the contact page; the desk answers from that address.

Status of the content

All articles on the site are original editorial work and are signed by the desk. Quotations from the early discourses are short, cited, and made with reference to published translations; readers are encouraged to keep a translation beside them and to prefer the printed page where it disagrees with a notebook paraphrase. Trademarks and institution names, including the temples named in the retreat guides, belong to their owners, are named factually, and imply no endorsement in either direction.

Standing caveats

Nothing on this site is medical, psychological or legal advice, and no article should be read as instruction to change medication or treatment; matters of health belong with qualified professionals, and the notebook says as much wherever the subject comes near. Retreat arrangements change, and the guides state what is publicly established at the time of writing; the desk speaks for no temple and takes no bookings.
